Certain types of pallets can be nested together when empty in order to reduce space requirements and improve cube utilization in transport or storage.These include single face block and stringer pallets, as weel as nestable plastic or steel pallets.

The nesting of pallets in a lorry, for example, should result in a reduced pallet repositioning cost.
