The top deck consists on, either of top decks or of a full panel.





Top decks: they are more or less spaced out. One speaks then about percentage of coverage: full surface with regard to the total surface. The space between these decks can be regular or irregular.

The top decks of the same pallet have quite the same length and the same thickness, but it can have different widths. One distinguishes in that case several types of top decks (rarely more than 2) for the same palette.

 

Joined decks: when the space between the top deck is of some millimeters (between 1 and 5 mm), the deck is said to joined deck. Decks can have the same width or of variable width.
