2009-05-07 EPAL releases pallet strength results
The European Pallet Association (EPAL) has released new strength test results which, it says, show that EPAL-approved pallets are twice as good as non-approved pallets.
EPAL, the largest pallet pool in the world with 500 million pallets in use, also said its pool in the UK grew by 22% in 2008.
The organisation said its strength testing show EPAL-approved pallets can withstand up to 48 kilonewtons force.
It is using pictures of baby elephants standing on EPAL pallets to highlight strength and durability.
