2009-04-07 Seasoned logistics veteran joins operator of world's first all-plastic pallet rental service with embedded RFID tags
Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS Company LLC), operator of the world's first all-plastic pallet rental service with embedded RFID (radio frequency identification) tags, announced today that Rick San Martin has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Operations & Logistics. San Martin will be responsible for all aspects of operations, including developing and implementing initiatives to improve operating performance and service levels, quality control, depot management, transportation cost and inventory control
San Martin is a proven operations & manufacturing professional
with over 25 years of experience. He has a Six Sigma Master Black
Belt and a track record of initiating and leading change, implementing
cost reduction programs, increasing capacities and driving profitability.
He also has extensive experience leading multi-plant operations
in the US and abroad. For the last 11 years, San Martin held key
roles at Cott Beverages that included Senior Vice President Operations,
Vice President Manufacturing, and Interim President - Mexico Division.
His experience also includes 17 years at Anheuser Busch in manufacturing
and supply chain management.
