Brambles Ltd (BXB.AX), the world's top pallet supplier, reported a 28 percent drop in its first-half profit, the company said in a statement on Monday.

The company, whose pallets trays are used by consumer goods companies worldwide to carry merchandise to stores, said net profit for six months ended Dec. 31 totalled $212.8 million, compared with $293.7 million a year earlier.
