 2006-09-16 Custom made pallets

While standard sized pallets (1165cm x 1165cm) in all their forms – softwood, hardwood, plastic - are still very much the norm, pallet companies such as Enviro Pallets are receiving a steadily-increasing demand for custom-made pallets.

Enviro Pallets, based at Glendenning in Sydney's west, has been manufacturing custom-made pallets from as small as 400cm x 500cm up to a huge 6.2 metres x 3 metres.

The company says that orders have been coming in for custom-made pallets of all shapes and sizes – orders ranging from just one to orders in the hundreds.

Enviro Pallets claims that no matter how many pallets a client needs, and no matter how specified the pallet order, they will comply. It is just matter of ensuring they have the correct lengths of timber and then nailing them together.

Enviro Pallets recycles more than 200,000 wooden pallets annually, saving the dumping of in excess of 700 tonnes of timber each year into our rubbish tips.

As well as recycling timber pallets and making custom-made pallets, Enviro Pallets (NSW) Pty Ltd manufactures new softwood and hardwood pallets, sells a large variety of plastic pallets and pressed-wood pallets and also boasts an on-site heat treatment facility for clients requiring pallets to export goods.
