Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS) Co. LLC has announced that Dole Fresh Vegetables has finished testing of its radio frequency identification tagged pallets and will begin expanding use of them.

The 100 percent recyclable plastic pallets will help Monterey, Calif.-based Dole track product movement throughout its supply chain.

Dole Fresh Vegetables joins Imperial Sugar, Pilgrim's Pride and Martori Farms among other top brands that have switched from wood pallets to iGPS plastic pallets.

Orlando-based iGPS is the world's first company to offer manufacturers and retailers all-plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification tags.
