2007-11-15 Aluminum Pallets available in Thailand under innovative leasing program

Canonball Business Products Co., Ltd has been appointed as Authorized Sales Agent for Toro Pallets LLC in Thailand.

Toro Pallets LLC, a Dallas, TX company that manufactures Aluminum and hybrid transportation pallets announced today that their pallets are available through Canonball Business Products Co., Ltd of Bangkok.

The product was launched at a road show held at Star Hotel in Rayong city, the capital of the Rayong Industrial Zone. Mr. Porpong Eadla-ong CO & CEO of Canonball Business Products received the certificate of appointment as Sales Agent for Thailand from Mr. Tiger Aster, President and owner of Toro Pallets LLC.

"We believe that the Thai warehousing industry been waiting for this new technology previously available only in the United States of America. There is a need of such palletizing solutions for the Thai warehousing market, especially with the advantages a Toro aluminum & hybrid pallet can offer and particularly with RFID tracking built in as standard" said Mr. Porpong, CO & CEO of Canonball Business Products.

Toro Pallets were demonstrated on Canonball's racking systems that are sold under the brand name of "Heavy Rack" and RFID deployment of Toro Pallets was demonstrated by Mr. Kampol Choksuntasut, MD of Acentech (Thailand).

We are moving towards 21st century logistics in Thailand and the RFID initiative of Pallet tracking would result in lowered warehouse and distribution costs—some 3 percent to 5 percent of retailers' revenue—according to management consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates. Readers placed throughout warehouses will pick up signals from tags without the need for a human to point a scanner at the tag, which is the way it's currently done with bar codes.

While there is a cost attached to owning Toro RFID enabled pallets, the company has approached Thai Orix Leasing Co., Ltd in Bangkok to facilitate easier methods of acquisition.

"We have taken the leasing route to provide our customers in Thailand with a solution where they don't have to make large capital investments to own our pallets" said Tiger Aster, president of Toro Pallets, he added that "The pallets now cost the customer much lesser than what it would cost to acquire traditional wooden or plastic pallets that do not qualify for leasing"

He also said that "The leasing option enables our customers to expense the purchase for a period of 12 to 60 months with a low buy out option at the end of the lease. This way companies can free up capital for better use while enjoying the benefits of owning a Toro Pallet."

The pallets with the light weight advantage also have fastener free loading surfaces, are free of sharp corners and edges, termite and mold free, temperature stable, fire resistant, maintenance free, AS/AR compliant and come with a lifetime guarantee.
