2007-05-22 Recycling facility burns for 3rd time (Elias C. Arnold)
A Kingman-area wooden pallet recycling facility caught fire Sunday, the third time in less than a year, 12 News reported.
Both previous fires were labeled suspicious, though the cause of this fire had not been determined late Sunday, officials said.
Hualapai Valley Fire District Chief Wayne Eder said firefighters were called about 6 p.m. to the 3-acre industrial site near the Kingman airport.
More than 50 firefighters from several Mohave County fire departments responded to the call and battled the blaze for nearly two hours, according to reports. No one was injured.
The flames spread from pallets to nearby brush and 10 vehicles at the site, including cars, two motor homes and heavy construction equipment.
