2007-04-25 IPP Logipal strengthens management team

IPP Logipal, the fast growing pallet rental specialist, has appointed Martin Compton as its new financial controller and promoted David Bage to operations manager. AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualified, Martin will be based at the company's Coventry headquarters. He joins IPP Logipal from Standard Photographic, where he managed a turnover of $6 million as company accountant.

Prior to this, Martin was in charge of the sales ledger and credit control at Heathcote Books, a sub-division of WH Smith.

David has been with IPP Logipal for over two years and was previously financial controller.

His career includes three years as sales director with Oerlemans Packaging and a 12-year spell in South Africa as both financial director and managing director of Rhino Plastics.

In his new role he will be responsible for ensuring that the IPP Logipal continues to provide a high-quality, reliable and flexible service as it develops its market share.

Both Martin and David will report to Phil Storer, managing director of IPP Logipal.

Commenting on the new appointments, Phil said: We will continue to strengthen the management team as we expand our operations in the UK and Ireland.

Paul and David will play key roles in this as we embark on our ambitious business development plans. We also expect to be announcing new contract wins in the next few months.
