The CAN (assocation of south american countries), is asking the European Union to delay the application of new norms on wood packaging.

Next monday, the European Union is about to take the last decision about wood packaging. In Peru, the assocation of south american countries, asked the European Union to delay until october the application of the new norms on wood packaging (fumigation or thermic treatment), in order not to affect the exportations of this market, in a country where none producer is in norms.

The peruvian ministry of external trade Alfredo Ferreo said that a plan of action is going to be applied, indicating the lines to follow for the actual stock of pallets.
