CHEP has launched the PLUS PS (phytosanitary) pallet service to meet new global regulations intended to stop the spread of wood-boring insects.

These regulations laid out in the ISPM-15 agreement, cover both soft and hard wood pallets establishing two treatment options, heat treatment or chemical fumigation.

All CHEP PLUS PS pallets will be heat treated, as this option is more environmentally friendly.

Pallets will then receive a stamp, with information on country of origin, type of treatment and registration number, in compliance with rules.
