18/10/05 FAST OLIVE HIRED TO PURCHASE 130,000 TONS OF PLASTIC
PVAXX(R), a manufacturing company currently constructing the largest plastic pallet manufacturing facility in the world has hired Central Florida procurement company, Fast Olive to purchase 130,000 metric tons of polyethylene per month. PVAXX uses polyethylene to make plastic pallets, which will ultimately replace the need for the less durable but traditional wooden pallet.
One billion pallets are sold every year. These pallets are used all over the world to move heavy loads of shipments from point A to point B, as well as to move heavy inventory inside individual stores. Companies like Walmart and Home Depot couldn't operate without them. Nearly half (42%) of US forests are cut down every year to make wooden pallets. These pallets break and rot easily, get infested with termites and about 80% of them go directly to landfill within two years. The consensus among corporate decision makers is to find an alternative. PVAXX has the technology and the means to provide an affordable, durable and environmentally safer solution. Just one advantage plastic pallets have over wooden pallets is that they are recyclable.
PVAXX's challenge is that they need twice as much LLD polyethylene as the world currently produces. Enter Allan Austin, CEO and founder of the procurement company, Fast Olive. His task: to find 130,000 tons of polyethylene per month. From Fast Olive headquarters in Longwood, Florida, Allan continues to shake things up in the oil, plastics and financial industries around the globe. Sleep is often a luxury as he stays up, waiting to speak to someone in China at 3 am Florida time or the Middle East at midnight.
One success story includes a company in Thailand who will sell Fast Olive 1,000 tons or 2.2 million pounds of polyethylene. Fast Olive needs only 129,000 more tons to go.
"The problem I'm having is nobody believes me. It's a little like this: Imagine calling your local Pizza Hut and saying you need 13,000 pizzas delivered tomorrow. They'd hang up on you. We need 130,000 tons of polyethylene per month, but the big guys at Chevron, Dow Chemical and Formosa, for instance, think we're nuts. Little by little, they're starting to realize that we're for real. We currently have 15 letters of intent to sell us plastic and each of these companies is shipping 1,500 pounds of sample plastic for testing at PVAXX's research center in London."
Because of Fast Olive's credibility with PVAXX, they have now landed another large account: buying metal for Daewoo, an order for 100 tons a day of plastics for a company that turns those resins into clothing. They also are continuing to develop orders here in Central Florida, purchasing everything from office products to factory cranes for businesses of all sizes. Their commitment to their clients is to be the global procurement service that exceeds their clients' expectations and never takes advantage of them.
