2006-10-09 Changes in Supervisory Board of IFCO SYSTEMS N.V., Dr. Bernd Malmström becomes Chairman of the Supervisory Board

On September 26, 2006, the Supervisory Board unanimously elected Dr. Bernd Malmström as new Chairman of the Supervisory Board with immediate effect. Mr. Malmström works as a lawyer and consultant for Deutsche Bahn AG. Prior to that, he has held various management positions at Deutsche Bahn AG, Stinnes AG, Schenker-Rhenus-Group and VEBA AG. Mr. Malmström also serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of the following companies: BLG Logistics Group AG & Co. KG (Advisory Board), Deutsche Afrika-Linien GmbH & Co. KG (Advisory Board), DEVK-Versicherungen (Advisory Board), Fraport AG (Advisory Board), HHLA Intermodal GmbH, K+S Aktiengesellschaft, Lehnkering GmbH, Stinnes Corporation and Sulo GmbH (Advisory Board).

Dr. Bernd Malmström initially became a member of the Supervisory Board of IFCO SYSTEMS N.V. in December 2005. IFCO SYSTEMS will benefit from Dr. Bernd Malmström's intense management expertise and industry knowledge as its' new chairman of the Supervisory Board. Dr. Philipp Gusinde remains a member of the Supervisory Board, IFCO SYSTEMS and the members of the Supervisory Board thank Dr. Gusinde for his chairmanship.
