A Monticello pallet company warehouse inside the Hall's Mall building caught fire around 7 p.m. Tuesday, causing firefighters to continue working to control the blaze into Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews limited access to the Marion Street location. No one was in the building at the time of the fire and no one was hurt. An estimated 20 homes were evacuated in the area.

The fire is the largest in Monticello since the Jordan Manufacturing warehouse fire in 2005.
