Fire crews had to rescue a man trapped under 30,000 pounds of pallets holding auto parts in Saginaw Wednesday.
It happened just after 3 p.m. at Alfe Heat Treating on Leon Scott Street.
The pallets fell on the man just under his knees, pinning him. It took about 20 minutes to rescue him.
The battalion chief says two pallets of parts shifted off the conveyor system. The worker remained conscious the entire time. He was wheeled out on a stretcher.
The battalion chief didn't know the worker's name or how long he's been working at Alfe.
Though the man is said to have significant injuries, they are not believed to be life-threatening, and the victim was in stable condition when he was taken to an area hospital.
