2006-11-15 Pall EX director in CLIT UK speed mentoring event

Strategic Development Director Adrian Russell provides mentoring advice to young logistics professionals

Young professionals from the logistics sector were able to benefit from advice from Pall-Ex¡Zs strategic director Adrian Russell at the CILT (UK) (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) Young Professionals Forum Speed Mentoring Event held on HMS President in London on Friday September 22nd.

Modelled on its speed dating counterpart, the CILT (UK) speed mentoring event was designed to facilitate discussion of potential solutions to career issues by matching volunteer mentors with delegates in a tightly controlled environment, enabling time with each mentor. Delegates met mentors in small groups and time slots were limited to ten minutes with the opportunity for further discussion to continue over lunch.

Mentors were asked to set the scene with mentees and then identify the main issue which might be industry-specific or a more generic management issue. They then provided feedback drawing on their own experience.
