2006-06-19 Mike Dimond Receives 2006 Innovation Award from Supply Chain & Logistics Canada
Supply Chain & Logistics Canada (SCL)
recently presented the SCL 2006 Innovation Award to Mike Dimond, President
of CHEP Canada, for his efforts promoting radio frequency identification (RFID)
technology to businesses across Canada. CHEP continues to be a leading innovator
and proponent of RFID, and is taking part in several trials and rollouts in
both North America and Europe.
The SCL 2006 Innovation Award salutes Supply Chain Management Innovators who
have demonstrated exemplary vision and strategic thinking in both their professional
and corporate activities. Recipients of this award are selected on the basis
of strong partnerships they have developed that foster supply chain and logistics
and their firm commitment to promote SCL's mission statement as it relates
to communication and networking, education and training and knowledge leadership.
"On behalf of our team here in Canada and our colleagues around the globe,
I'm honoured to be recognized by this important organization. CHEP will continue
to dedicate significant resources to RFID and other initiatives that deliver
efficiency and productivity gains for the supply chain," said Dimond.
Dimond began his career at CHEP in 1983, and was named president of CHEP Canada
in 1988.
