2006-06-14 Chamber extends deadline for Palettes submission
(in ManchesterJournal)
The Manchester and the Mountains Chamber of Commerce and project sponsor Chittenden Bank announce that they are extending the deadline for submission of completed palette creations for the Palettes of Vermont Manchester Project until Monday, June 19.
Completed palettes should be dropped off at the Chittenden Bank in Manchester. Spearheaded by the Vermont Arts Council, Palettes of Vermont is a statewide arts project designed to unite people and communities through the arts. Hundreds of artists throughout Bennington County have been producing masterpieces daily. The Vermont Arts Council predicts that the collective exhibition of palettes across the state between now and October 2006 will amount to the largest art show in history with venues in more than 250 cities, villages, towns and communities across Vermont's 9,615 square miles.
Once all the Manchester palettes have been submitted, they will go on display in 11 locations from Manchester to Arlington. There will also be a rack card produced by the Bennington County Regional Marketing Program that shows viewing sites for these works of art in both the Bennington and Manchester and the Mountains areas.
